Even though the cost to train and place a PAWS Assistance Dog is $35,000, our clients pay no fee to receive their Assistance Dog. Those costs are underwritten by generous donors like you.

Appreciated securities are perhaps the most cost-effective assets to use in making a gift. When you transfer ownership of long-term holdings to Paws With A Cause, you receive a charitable deduction for their full market value and you would pay no capital gains tax (subject to IRS deduction limits). Our tax identification number is 38-2370342.
Since a donor’s information accompanying electronic stock transfers is not always complete, please alert us in advance that you plan to give stock, including the stock’s name and number of shares. How is PAWS supported?
PAWS receives the majority of its support from individuals, with additional support from foundations and corporations.
Does PAWS have an annual impact report?

Is my contribution tax-deductible?
Paws With A Cause is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) public charity; therefore, your contribution may be tax-deductible. Please check with your tax advisor to find out more.
Does PAWS accept matching gifts?
Yes! If your employer has a matching gifts program, collect the form from your Human Resources department, complete and mail it with your gift or with a copy of your online donation receipt to:

Can I make a donation in honor of a person or special event?
Absolutely! You can celebrate a special friend or occasion, such as a birthday, holiday or wedding, with a dedicated donation to PAWS. An acknowledgment card or email will be sent to your honoree. PAWS can even send acknowledgments on behalf of pets to humans and other furry friends. There is no minimum! Donate now

How do I make a donation in memory of a family member or pet?
A memorial gift is a meaningful way to honor a departed person or pet while helping to support PAWS’ mission. There is no minimum donation required. PAWS will send an acknowledgment card or email to the designated person or family acknowledging your donation. A copy of The Rainbow Bridge will be sent to memorialize a pet. Donate now.

Yes! PAWS Best Friends is the name of our monthly donation program. It is a quick and easy way to support PAWS regularly. You can set up PAWS Best Friends here or call us to set up an automatic donation via your credit card or checking account.

If I donate automatically through PAWS Best Friends, can I still receive PAWS mailings?
Yes! All PAWS donors are mailed issues of our newsletter. If you prefer, you may opt to “Go Green” and receive the e-version and other PAWS communication via email.

Can I donate through my workplace?
Yes! If your company offers workplace giving, such as State Employee Combined Campaign or United Way, you should contact your Human Resources representative for enrollment materials and information on how to designate your payroll deduction to PAWS. Please note that your company may not supply PAWS with all the information we require to credit you for your gift. You should confirm with your employer that your donation, name, and address are being submitted as requested.
Does PAWS participate in the Combined Federal Campaign? If so, what is your number?
PAWS does participate in the Combined Federal Campaign. Our number is 11901. See your Human Resources department to enroll in this program.
