“Wheels for PAWS”
The Pittsburgh Regional office of Paws With A Cause was gifted with a different type of ‘four footed friend’…a new van! This vehicle was desperately needed for Regional Administrator Penny Layne to travel back and forth from PAWS Headquarters in Michigan to transport Assistance Dogs and Foster Puppies, as well as for transportation needs for the many educational presentations, and client/dog team trainings around the Pittsburgh area.
The wonderful group of Pittsburgh volunteers came through with fundraising efforts that provided for 100% of the total cost of the van! Many individuals contributed to this success, including Rotary District 7300 – lead by the efforts of Green Tree Rotary, Turtle Creek Rotary and Churchill Rotary – the Mall at Robinson, and PAWS volunteers. Countless hours of gift wrapping was done at the Mall at Robinson during the holiday season. Educational presentations were conducted at every Rotary Club in District 7300, resulting in generous donations for this project.
As a national organization with regional offices, PAWS is extremely grateful for the encouragement and support of the Pittsburgh community.
